This Asus laptop with 16GB RAM and Core i7 CPU is a winner for $550 It’s not often you can score a decent laptop at a budget-tier price, but this Asus Vivobook fits the bill. While it normally goes for $700, right now you can get the Asus Vivobook 15 at B&H for a mere $550.
This isn’t some stripped-down device that can barely load Windows. It’s sporting good specs, a lightweight build, and an above-average display. We’re talking an Intel Core i7-1355U processor, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD, rounded out with a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display for gorgeous visuals and color accuracy. Does it have a dedicated graphics card? No, but it does have Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics for light gaming. Honestly, you can’t expect a good discrete graphics card at this price.
Weighing just 3.75 pounds, it’s pretty portable. And while we do wish the 42-watt-hour battery was bigger, it should be good enough for several hours of work on a full charge. Other features include an HDMI 1.4 port, three USB-A and one USB-C, a 3.5mm headset jack, a backlit keyboard, and a 720p built-in webcam with privacy shutter.
If you’ve been looking for a decently configured laptop that’s affordable, this Asus Vivobook 15 is right for the price at B&H.

| SilverStone’s beige PC tower case is blatant nostalgia bait, and I love it My dad was a computer network engineer in the 90s. His job was to build computer labs—that’s what they called server rooms back then—and by extension he also built one in our dining room, so my house was filled with the hum and whirr of beige boxes. Boxes that looked a whole lot like Silverstone’s newest throwback PC case, which PCWorld’s Adam Patrick Murray got to hug on the Computex show floor.
The new FLP-02 design is similar to the horizontal retro case SilverStone released last year, a former April Fool’s joke made real. But that one was for the 80s kids, whereas this new beige tower is for those of us who know Kevin Conroy will always be the best Batman. It’s a fully standard ATX case even if it looks like it fell out of a time machine, and it’s the first one I’ve seen in a long time that has real 5.25-inch external drive bays. Those faux floppy spacers don’t do anything, but they sure sell the effect.
Just beneath them is a custom 5.25-inch control panel. You get a physical power switch, a lock (that works!), and a gen-you-ine “Turbo” button with LED display where actually pressing that button will adjust your fan speed with the internal manager. Finishing external touches include a magnetic cover for the modern USB ports and a period-accurate “puffy” sticker for the SilverStone logo. On the inside, you get pretty much everything you need to build a full-sized gaming machine, including support for 360mm coolers, vertical-mounted GPUs, and all that jazz.
SilverStone says it’s going to bring this to market, but no specific date or price announced yet. Adam says the worst-case scenario is about $220. For more on the latest PC hardware from Computex, be sure to subscribe to PCWorld on YouTube and check out The Full Nerd podcast.

Logitech’s new G522 wireless headset prioritizes comfort for long sessions It’s time for a new addition to Logitech G, the company’s gaming-specific brand of accessories. Today, Logitech is launching its brand-new G522 gaming headset, which builds on the popular G733 headset but is now part of its award-winning G5 series.
Logitech
The Logitech G522 is equipped with Pro G drivers and is able to deliver clear and detailed audio in 48kHz and 24 bits. The built-in microphone supports Blue Voice and 48kHz 16-bit audio recording, and you can also apply different filters to the microphone audio.
To improve comfort during longer gaming sessions, Logitech has introduced some new quality-of-life features to the G522. The headset now has wider cups and more memory foam, and the weight is now distributed more evenly across the headband. Overall, the headset should fit well even if you wear glasses or earrings.
Logitech
You’ll have three options for connecting the Logitech G522 to your computer or gaming console: via USB-C cable, via Bluetooth, or via Logitech’s proprietary Lightspeed wireless tech with dongle.
The Logitech G522 will be available in black and white colorways, and will also feature some RGB bling. The headset is now available for purchase with a suggested retail price of $159.99.
